Finding a GOOD affordable brunch spot in Los Angeles, is like finding a needle in a haystack. I mainly look for two things when I go to brunch, unlimited or affordable drinks, and a killer food menu. I don’t think this is too much to ask for. This past weekend after an hour of searching the internet for the perfect place, we finally found it. The holy grail of brunch spots: THE WAFFLE!

They don’t take reservations, but the wait wasn’t too long and the line moved fast. They have a nice outside seating area, but the inside is really where you get the feel for this restaurant. Walking into the waffle felt like I was walking into a 70’s diner. It was crowded (in a good way), and the staff was friendly. It would be the perfect spot to go with a couple of friends.

The drinks:
$6 for a mimosa with half a bottle of champagne in it. What more could you want? I got two mimosas and let’s just say I was feeling pretty happy the rest of the day.

I can’t even explain how good their waffles are. We split one appetizer and one entree. The appetizer (Flight of Wee Waffles) included three mini waffles, one was topped with goat cheese, one with smoked salmon and chives, and one with grilled onions bacon and a sunny side up egg. For our entree we got smoked salmon scrambled eggs with waffle fries and toast. They have an extensive waffle menu, both sweet and savory. They range from red velvet waffles to applewood smoked bacon waffles. When I go back I am definitely getting my own plate. Sundays are for brunching… GO HAVE FUN!

Mimosa’s and waffles in moderation… or this can happen
